The beer doesn't make the monk!
Tuesday, June 5th from 16:00 to 18:00
In 2016 the monks of the Abbaye of Saint-Wandrille, founded in 649 in the Seine-Maritime region, created a brewery within the heart of the monastic community.
With some help and advice, notably from Daniel Thiriez, Hervé Marziou and Gilbert Delos, these brewer monks were able to distinguish themselves from the archetype of Belgian Abbaye beers, developing beers with a subtle bitterness that sway towards Anglo-Saxon styles. It's the only French beer brewed and bottled by monks inside of their own monastery.
Come meet the brewer, Brother Mathieu, while enjoying a chalice of this divinely delicious beer!
